There is a special bond between Tuscany and opera: it’s the home of Maestro Puccini, where his immortal melodies were born. And there’s a special bond between Bagni di Pisa, art and music: it has played host to Vittorio Alfieri, Percy Shelley and Mary Shelley, Carlo Goldoni, and modern-day rock and opera stars.
The Puccini Festival in Torre del Lago is the most important opera festival in the rich cultural life of Tuscany, the only one in the world dedicated to the composer and the 2024 programme will celebrate 100 years since the death of the great Maestro Giacomo Puccini.
